HILLSTROM WANTS
CHANGE OF VENUE
__________
A petition for change of venue on the ground that he cannot obtain an impartial trial in this district, owing to widespread and general prejudice against him, was filed in the district court yesterday by Joseph Hillstrom, accused of the murder of J. G. Morrison.
The motion will be heard by Judge M. L. Ritchie April 4. The usual statutory grounds for a change of venue are recited at great length in the petition.
Hillstrom has entered a plea of not guilty and his trial is to be held during the April term of court. He is charged with having murdered Morrison while endeavoring to hold up the latter’s grocery store two months ago.
